The Elisabeth Murdoch Walk

Donation Information & Application Form

McClelland is seeking support for the continuing development of The Elisabeth Murdoch Walk.

The Elisabeth Murdoch Walk provides a special opportunity to acknowledge the lifetime contribution of Dame Elisabeth Murdoch AC DBE to the cultural life of Australia and McClelland Sculpture Park + Gallery in its developing role as the national focus for sculpture.

Dame Elisabeth Murdoch AC DBE was an active supporter, Trustee and Governor of McClelland since its inception in 1971. She contributed tremendously to the development and enjoyment of sculpture in Australia. The Elisabeth Murdoch Walk is a way of honouring this contribution.

The pathway links iconic sculptures within the diversity of our landscaped bush settings and future indigenous gardens. Section One was opened in June 2011 to coincide with the 40th Anniversary of McClelland and at the time of the fifth McClelland Sculpture Survey Section Two opened in November 2012.

As a permanent sculpture walk around the grounds it is a wonderful way to honour a member of your family, a friend or an institution. Commemorative signage along the length of the path acknowledges each donation and your contribution to the development of one or more metre sections, at $500 per section, is  fully tax deductable.

Your support of The Elisabeth Murdoch Walk makes a significant and lasting contribution to the presentation and enjoyment of our Sculpture Park where the combination of art and nature forms a unique ensemble within the Australian landscape.
