McClelland Guilds
and Community Groups

An important and unique aspect of McClelland is the group of four guilds and community groups whose studios are located in the grounds of the sculpture park.

These independent community organisations cover a wide range of skills from painting and drawing, wood turning, lapidary and jewellery making to spinning and weaving. They actively engage with and promote these activities to a wider community, and in doing so extend Harry and Annie May McClelland’s vision of an artistic centre for the wider Frankston and Mornington Peninsula regions.

The various McClelland Guilds and community groups, whose membership is open to all, offer a wide variety of enjoyable artistic experiences and social networks, while imparting many rewarding skills and knowledge that give both a sense of personal fulfilment and a fuller appreciation of these great traditional crafts.
