McClelland Sculpture Park + Gallery gratefully acknowledges the generous support of our partners and sponsors.

The Balnaves Curatorial Intern position was created in 2011 as an initiative of McClelland Sculpture Park+Gallery and The Balnaves Foundation.

As a three year position, the role aims to equip a recent graduate in Curatorial studies with hands on training in all aspects of curatorial duties, such as exhibition development and design, collection management, registration, public and education programming, liasing with stakeholders, collectors, artists and galleries as well as developing skills in marketing, writing, editing, grant submissions and the production of publications.

Particular to McClelland, is the opportunity for the Intern to assist in the coordination of major projects, including the most prestigious outdoor exhibition for sculpture in Australia, the biennial McClelland Sculpture Survey & Award and the biennial Southern Way McClelland Sculpture Commissions for the Peninsula Link Freeway (Mornington Peninsula, Victoria).
