McClelland Sculpture Survey & Award 2007 - Application Information:

The McClelland Contemporary Sculpture Survey and Award is a biennial event. The first was held between 5 October 2003 and 8 March 2004 and featured 42 exhibitors elected from a field of over 170 applications.
The recipient of the 2003 $100,000 McClelland Award was the artistic team of John Clark and Ian Burns with the work Plantation. Winner of the $15,000 Frankston City People’s Choice Award was Belinda’s Wedding by Anna Eggert.
The Call for Applications for the 2005 McClelland Contemporary Sculpture Survey and Award started in November 2004 and applications closed on 31 March 2005. Over 245 applications were received and 35 finalists were chosen by the selection committee from the McClelland Gallery+Sculpture Park. The judge for this year’s $100,000 McClelland Award is Mr Peter Murray, the Executive Director of the Yorkshire Sculpture Park, Leeds, United Kingdom.
The 2005 McClelland Contemporary Sculpture Survey and Award will open on Sunday 13 November and the recipient of this year’s award will be announced at the same time. The recipient of the $15,000 Frankston City People’s Choice Award will be announced on Sunday 28 May 2006. The Survey closes on Sunday 25 June 2006.
The Call for Applicants for the 2007 McClelland Contemporary Sculpture Survey and Award will be advertised in the print media from approximately December 2006. A copy of the current application form is attached to this site. There will be minor changes to the 2007 Application Form.
