On 13 November 2005, the second McClelland Contemporary Sculpture Survey and McClelland Award was opened by Mr Rupert Murdoch AC. Since its inception in 2003, the McClelland Survey has emerged as the most important biennial sculpture exhibition in Australia, displaying a wide range of works in different media and styles by both established and emerging artists.
