On Connection is a Sculptural Meditation created in collaboration with The Mind Room, as part of Inspired Minds, our Art and Wellbeing series. The meditation draws inspiration from the Tree of Life by Phil Price (2012), an iconic sculpture from McClelland’s collection.
“In 2019 the World Health Organisation released a summary report of the evidence for the role of the arts in improving health and wellbeing. There is also a significant body of psychological research related to the restorative health benefits of meditation.
With these two ideas in mind […] we have developed this series of visual meditations to help bring you to the sculptures and the sculptures to you. This is an immersive experience that taps into the senses and helps you explore your relationship with the sculptures, the environment and yourself. […]
Please, sit back, relax and immerse yourself in this sculptural meditation.”
